Ara : Two unidentified persons shot dead a private doctor at village Itimha under Tarari police station in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on January 14, 2018, and escaped. The irate villagers staged gherao of Tarari police station raising slogans against police administration.
Later, police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. SHO, Tarari police station, said that a private doctor Santosh Santosh Sah, son of late Laxman Sah, was sleeping in his room at village Itimha on January 13 night. In the wee hour on January 14, two unidentified armed persons in police uniform entered the house and pumped eight bullets into the body of Dr Santosh Sah and injured his wife sleeping beside him and escaped. The reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained.
