Djokovic, Zverev, Cilic, Isner,Dimitrov enter Round of 16 of ATP Paris Masters

Patna : World No 2 in ATP rankings Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, World No 5 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, World No 7 Marin Cilic, 30, Croatia, World No 9 John Isner, 33, USA, and World No 10 Grigor Dimitrov, 27, Bulgaria, entered the Round of 16 of Paris Masters 1,000 at Paris, France, on October 31, 2018.

Djokovic, the 2nd seed, beat World No 48 Joao Sousa, 29, Portugal, 7-5, 6-1 in the second round. Djokoviv served 6 Aces in the match to 4 by  Sousa. Both the players committed 3 double faults each. But, Djokovic won 4 break points to 1 by Sousa. Djokovic also won 7 games in a row to 3 by Sousa.

A Zverev, the fourth seed,  defeated World No 44  Fances Tiafoe, 20,  USA, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round. Zverev committed 5 double faults in the match to 4 by bhis rival. But, he also won 4 break points to2 by Tiafoe, He also won 4 games in row in the match to 2 by his rival. Both the players served 4 Aces each.

Cilic, the 5th seed,  beat World No 43 Philipp Kohlschreiber, 35, Germany, 6-3, 6-4 to enter the Round of 16. Cilip fired 8 Aces in the match 5 by Kohlschreiber. Cilic won 3 break points to 1 by his rival. He also won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by Kohlschreiber.

Isnder, the 8th seed, beat World No 54 Mikhail Kukushkin, 30, Kazakhstan, in a three-set thriller 6-3, 6-7, 7-6 to enter the Round of 16. Isner hammered 33 Aces in the match to just 2 by Kukushkin. Both the players committed one double fault each. Isner won 1 break points in the match to none by his opponent. Isner also won 3 games in a row in the match.

Dimitrov, the 9th seed, defeated World No 25 Roberto Bautista Agut, 30, Spain,  7-6, 6-4 to enter the Round of 16. Dimitrov fired 13 Aces in the match to 3 by Agut, But, he also committed 6 double faults. Dimitrov won 3 break points to 2 by Agut. Dimitrov won 4 games in row to 3 by Agut.
