Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Novak Djokovic, 32, Serbia, won the Rakutan Japan Open Tennis Championships title defeating World No 80 John Millman, 30, Australia, a qualifier, in the final at Koto, Tokyo, Japan, on October 6, 2019.

It was Djokovic’s 76th career title, the first at Tokyo, where he made his debut this year. Djokovic secured 500 ATP points for winning the title besides the cash prize while Millman got 300 points besides the cash prize.

Djokovic brushed aside Millman 6-3, 6-2 in the final in 69 minutes winning three break points besides winning 5 games in a row in the match. The Serbian fired 4 Aces in the match. He won 36 service points to 29 by Millan, who was bidding for his first career title.
