Second seed and eight-times champion Roger Federer, Switzerland, will face World No 7 Kei Nishikori, 29, Japan, in the QFs. Winner of 20 Grand Slam singles title Federer demolished 17th seed Matteo Berrettini, 23, Italy, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in the fourth round. Nishikori beat World No 58 Mikhail Kukushkin, 31, Kazakhstan, in the 4th round.

World No 26 Guido Pella, Argentina, will face World No 22 Roberto Bautista Agut, Spain, in the quarter-finals. Pella beat World No 17 Milos Raonic, Canada, in a five-set thriller in the 4th round while Agut beat World No 32 Benoit Paire, France.
