Patna : Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, has jumped one place to be ranked World No 2 with 7,445 points in the ATP rankings released on October 15, 2018, after lifting the ATP Shanghai Masters title on October 14, 2018, and is now only 215 points behind the World No 1 Rafael Nadal (7,660 points), 32, Spain, who has not played any tournament since getting injured during US Open championship.
Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, has slipped one place to be ranked World No 3 with 6,260 points after failing to defend his Shanghai Masters title. Juan Martin del Porto, 30, Argentina, remains No 4 with 5,860 points. Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, too remains No 5 with 5,025 points while Marin Cilic, 30, Croatia, is No 6 with 4,185 points, and Dominic Thiem, 25, Austria, No 7 with 3,825 points.
Kevin Anderson, 32, South Africa, is ranked World No 8 with 3,775 points while Grigor Dimitrov, 27, Bulgaria, and John Isner, 33, USA, are ranked World No 9 and World No 10 with 3,440 points and 3,290 points respectively. Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, has jumped one place to be ranked No 11 with 2,910 points.
Borna Coric, 21, Croatia, has jumped 6 places to be ranked World No 13 with 2,415 points after reaching the final of ATP Shanghai Masters while Matthew Ebden, 30, Australia, has jumped 11 places to be ranked World No 40 with 1,134 points.
Nicolas Jarry, 23, Chile, has jumped 5 places to be ranked World No 43 with 1,110 points. Albert Ramos Vinolas, 30, Spain, has slipped 14 places to be ranked World No 64 with 805 points. Mikhail Kukushkin, 30, Kazakhstan, has jumped 10 places to be ranked World No 73 with 750 points.
