Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Novak Djokovic, Serbia, winner of 15 Grand Slam singles titles, and 2nd seed and World No 3 Roger Federer, Switzerland, winner of 20 Grand Slam titles, will clash in the final of Wimbledon Championships at All England Club, London, at 6.30 pm on July 14, 2019. Federer has won Wimbledon title 8 times while Djokovic has won it four-times.
It will be 48th meeting between the two players with Djokovic leading 25-22. They had last clashed at 2015 Wimbledon final with Djokovic winning in four-sets. Djokovic had also defeated Federer in 2014 Wimbledon final in five-sets.
Federer beat 3rd seed Rafael Nadal, winner of 18 Grand Slam titles, in four-sets 7-6, 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the semi-finals on July 12, 2019, late night. Both the players won 2 break points each in the match. Nadal won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by the Swiss. Federer fired 14 Aces in the match to 11 by the Spaniard. Nadal though still leads Federer 24-16 Head to Head.
Defending champion Djokovic beat World No 22 Roberto Bautista Agut, 31, Spain, in four-sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals.
