Patna : World No 2 in ATP rankings Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, and World N 3 Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, entered the semi-finals of Paris Masters 1,000 points tennis tournament on November 3, 2018, early morning. Djokovic and Federer will clash in the semi-finals at 9 pm on November 3 itself. World No 8 Dominic Thiem, 25, Austria, will face World No 18 Karen Khachanov, 22, Russia, in the other semi-finals the same day.

Djokoviv beat World No 7 Marin Cilic, 30, Croatia, in a three-set encounter 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the quarter-finals at Paris. Cilic fired 8 Aces in the match to 5 by Djokovic. Djokovic though committed 5 double faults to none by Cilic. But, he also won 4 break points while Cilic won 2. Both the players won 3 games each in a row.

Federer beat World No 11 Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals. Federer served 7 Aces to 3 by Nishikori. Federer also committed 2 double faults but also won 2 break points. Federer also won 5 games in a row in the match.
