Patna : Top seed Novak Djokovic, 32, Serbia, beat World No 28 Denis Shapovalov, 20, Canada, in straight sets in the final at Bercy, Paris, France, to win the Rolex Paris Masters title for the 5th time, his 77th career title. Djokovic, the winner of 16 Grand Slam title, beat Shapovalov 6-3, 6-4 in 65 minutes to win his 34th Masters1,000 title. He had lost to Karen Khachanov, 23, Russia, in the final in 2018. Rafael Nadal, Spain, has won 35 Masters 1,000 titles while Roger Federer, Switzerland, has won 28.

Djokovic won 2 break points in the match to none by Shapovalov, who was playing his first ATP Masters 1,000 final. The Serbian also won 3 games in a row in the match. He won 41 service points to 33 by the Canadian. Shapovalov, however, hammered 11 Aces in the match to 2 by the Serbian. Shapovalov committed 3 double faults to 1 by Djokovic.
