Patna : Six time champion and World No 1 in ATP rankings Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, beat World No 19 Daniil Medvedev, 22, Russia, in a tough four-set contest in the 4th round of Australian Open (AO) to advance to quarter-finals of the tournament. But, Medvedev gave Djokovic a run for his money forcing him to commit several unforced errors in the match. Medvedev fired 18 Aces in the match to 6 by Djokovic.

The Russian committed 6 double faults in the match to 5 by Djokovic. Djokovic, the winner of 14 Grand Slam singles titles, won 7 break points to only 2 by Medvedev. The Serbian World No 1 won 5 games in a row in the match to 3 by his Russian opponent. Both the players won 82 service point each. Medvedev is yet to reach quarter-finals of a Grand Slam event.
