Patna : Top seed Novak Djokovic, 34, Serbia, defeated 7th seed Hubert Hurkacz, 24, Poland, in a three-set slugfest lasting 2hr 17 minutes in semifinal on November 6, 2021, night, to advance to the final of Rolex Paris Masters, an ATP indoor hard courts tennis tournament at Paris, France.
World No Djokovic beat World No 10 Hurkacz 3-6, 6-0, 7-6 in semi-final rallying back from one set down. Hurkacz though hammered 12 Aces during the match to 5 by Djokovic.
Djokovic won 4 break points during the match, including 3 in second set, to 2 by the Pole. The Serbian won 7 games in a row during the match to 3 by Hurkacz. Djokovic, however, committed 3 double faults to 1 by the Pole. Djokovic, in all, won 97 points in the match to 84 by Hurkacz. The Serbian also won the 3rd set tie-break. The tie-break was, however, quite gripping and saw long rallies.
