Patna : World No 6 Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, beat 7 time champion and World No 2 Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, to win the Cincinnati Masters 1,000 singles title on August 20, 2018, achieving the feat of winning all the 9 ATP Masters titles. He is the first tennis player to win all the 9 Masters title. World No 1 Rafael Nadal and Federer have won 7 Masters title each.

Djokovic, the winner of 13 Grand Slam titles, beat Federer 6-4, 6-4 in the final at Mason, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, to win the Cincinnai Masters title for the first time.

Federer though fired 11 Aces in the match to just 4 by Djokovic, who now leads Federer 24-22 head to head. Federer committed 4 double faults to 2 by Djokovic. Djokovic’s winning percentage on both his first and second serve was much better than that of his rival. Djokovic also won 3 break points to just 1 by Federer. Federer was aiming for his 99th career title.
