Djokovic beats Federer in ATP Paris Masters SF, to meet Khachanov in final

Patna : Winner of 14 Grand Slam singles titles Novak Djokovic, 31, Serbia, beat winner of 20 Grand Slam titles Roger Federer, 37, Switzerland, in a very close contest in the semi-finals of ATP Paris Masters 1,000 on November 3, 2018, late night. Djokovic defeated Federer 7-6, 5-7, 7-6 in a seesaw battle at Paris, France.

Federer hammered 17 Aces in the match to 8 by Djokovic. But, Federer also committed 2 double faults in the match though he won a break point. Djokovic’s winning percentage ( 74%) on his second serve was better than that of Federer ( 56%). Federer won 3 games in a row while Djokovic won 2 in the match.

Djokovic will clash with World No 18 Karen Khachanov, 22, Russia, in the Paris Masters final on November 4, 2018, night. The match will start at 7.30 pm.

Khachanov defeated World No 8 Dominic Thiem, 25, Austria, in the semi-finals on November 3 and World No 5 Alexander Zverev, 21, Germany, in the quarter-finals on November 2. Khachanov had also defeated World No 9 John Isner, 33, USA, in the Round of 16 on November 1, 2018.
