Patna: Divisional Commissioner, Patna, Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, on July 10, 2020, held a review meeting through video-conferencing with all the DMs to discuss ways to rising Coronavirus infection and provide better health facilities. During the meeting, district-wise lockdown, containment zones, contact tracing, isolation centres, corona tests, discharge, besides sanitisation was reviewed.
Agarwal said that districts where lockdown has been imposed, should ensure its effective implementation. For this, he instructed
the officials to resort to miking to inform people about points contained in lockdown provisions. Besides this, he also ordered for deputation of adequate number of magistrates, police officers, and police forces to make lockdown more effective.
The Divisional Commissioner directed all DMs to ensure regular visit of doctors to isolation centres, availability of medicine there,
and proper arrangements of treatment. There should be proper counseling for mental health education for Corona patients, he pointed
out.
Agarwal asked all the DMs to continuously monitor isolation centres. He also directed them to ensure catering and cleanliness at these centres besides increasing the number of personnel and ensuring accountability by allocating work to speed up contact tracing.
He directed for proper monitoring and reporting of this work.
Agarwal said that after detection of Corona positive patient, containment zone should be created there immediately with barricading
asnd sanitisation of the area. However, essential services should be maintained, he pointed out.
The meeting was attended by DMs of Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur, Nalanda, and Buxar, Regional Development Officer, Patna, Sarvanarayana Yadav, Regional Programme Manager Health, Patna, Shailesh Kumar, Deputy Director in-charge, Public Relations, Patna, Pramod Kumar, sand Regional Evaluation and Monitoring Officer Ritu Rai.
