Patna: Bihar governor Ram Nath Kovind, who on November 29 presided over the meeting of the Board of Khudabaksh Oriental Public Library, Patna, at Raj Bhavan, stressed on strengthening the infrastructure of the library besides need of innovative ideas to develop it. He said that before every meeting the board members should discuss the urgent issues among themselves.
The Government of India representative and Joint Secretary, Union Culture ministry, Pankaj Rag, said the process of appointment of Library Director would be completed soon. The meeting also discussed the revival of `Khudabaksh Award’. With regard to filling up the vacant posts in the library, the meeting decided to make necessary amendments in the Rules and send the same to the GOI. The meeting also took the decision to shift the library to its new building while the existing building would be repaired and a DPR would be sent to the centre in this regard.
