Director, Dy Director, Distance Education, BRABU, resign

Muzaffarpur : Director, Distance Education Directorate, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) , Muzaffarpur, Ramchandra Singh, and Deputy Director, Pramod Kumar, resigned from their respective posts on November 15, 2017, night, following submission of inquiry report on the illegal appointments made in the Distance Education Directorate on the day.

Both Singh and Kumar submitted their resignation to the VC. The inquiry committee was set up by the VC. The VC said that stern action will be taken against both Singh and Kumar. Different students associations had paralysed the functioning of the university for the last 14 days to protest the illegal appointments made in the Distance Education Directorate.

Meanwhile, Governor cum Chancellor of Universities Staya Pal Malik on November 15 night ordered a Vigilance probe into the functioning of BRABU VC Amrendra Narain Yadav and Registrar Ajay Kumar Srivastava. The Chancellor had received several complaints against them.
