Patna : World No 27 Grigor Dimitrov, 28, Bulgaria, upset World No 5 Dominic Thiem, 26, Austraia, in Round of 16 to enter the quarter-finals of Rolex Paris Masters at Bercy, :Paris, France, on October 31, 2019. Top seed Novak Djokovic, 32, Serbia, 7th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, 21, Greece, and World No 42 Cristian Garin, 23, Chile, also entered the quarter-finals of Rolex Paris Masters on October 31.

Dimitrov demolished World No 5 Thiem, who had won China Open and Vienna Open titles in October 2019, 6-3, 6-2 in just 72 minutes winning 3 break points besides winning 5 games in a row in the match. Dimitrov won 38 service points to 31 by the Austrian. Thiem fired 3 Aces in the match to 2 by the Bugarian.

World No 1 Djokovic beat World No 75 Kyle Edmund, 24, Great Britain,  7-6, 6-1 in 82 minutes in Round of 16 winning 3 break points besides winning 6 games in a row in the match. Djokovic fired 6 Aces in the match to 4 by Edmund. The Serbian won 42 service points to 36 by Edmund.

World No 7 Tsitsipas beat World No 18 Alex de Minaur, 20, Australia, 6-3, 6-4 in Round of 16. He won 3 break points to 1 by Minaur. Tsitsipas also won 3 games in a row in the match to 2 by the Australian. The Greek fired 11 Aces in the match to 2 by the Australian. He won 38 service points to 33 by Minaur. Tsitsipas will face Djokovic in QFs on November 1, 2019.

Garin edged past World No 65 Jeremy Chardy, 32, France, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6 in Round of 16 rallying back from one set down. Chardy though hammered 21 Aces in the match to 13 by Garin. Garin won 2 break points to1 by Chardy in the match. Chardy, who had defeated World No 4 Danill Medvededv, Russia, in 2nd round, won 76 service points to 74 by Garin. Garin will face face Dimitrov in QFs on November 1.
