Patna : Although Novak Dkokovic, 32, Serbia, remains World No 1 in the ATP rankings released on September 9, 2019, he is just 640 points ahead of World No 2 Rafael Nadal, 33, Spain, after failing to defend his US Open title and 2,000 points. Djokovic has now 9,865 points while Nadal has 9,225 points after winning the US Open title and 2,000 points. Roger Federer, 38, Switzerland, remains World No 3 with 7,130 points after reaching the quarter-finals at US Open.

Grigor Dimitrov, 28, Bulgaria, a former Top 10 player, has jumped 53 places to be ranked World No 25 with 1,432 points after reaching the semi-finals at US Open. Matteo Berrettini, 23, Italy, has jumped 12 ladders to be ranked World No 13 with 2,245 points after reaching the SFs at US Open. Diego Schwartzman, 27, Argentina, has jumped 5 places to be ranked World No 16 with 1,995 points after reaching the QFs at US Open. Stan Wawrinka, 34, Switzerland, too has jumped 5 places to be ranked World No 19 with 1,805 points after reaching the QFs at US Open.

But, John Isner, 34, USA, has slipped 6 places to be ranked World No 20 with 1,905 points after losing in the 3rd round of US Open. Marin Cilic, 30, Croatia, the 2014 US Open Champion, has also slipped 5 places to be ranked World N0 28 with 1,410 points after losing in the 4th round at US Open.

But, Alex de Minaur, 20, Australia, has jumped 7 places to be ranked World No 31 with 1,360 points after reaching the 4th round at US Open. Pablo Cuevas, 33,Uruguay, has jumped 7 places to be ranked World N0 44 with 1,058 points after reaching 2nd round at US Open.

Pablo Andujar, 33, Spain, has jumped 20 places to be ranked World No 50 with 1,023 points after reaching the 4th round at US Open. Feliciano Lopez, 37, Spain, has jumped 7 places to be ranked World No 54 with 1,003 points after reaching the 3rd round at US Open. Dominik Koepfer, 25, Germany, has jumped 32 places to be ranked World No 86 with 634 points after reaching 4th round at US Open.

India No 1 Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 29, has jumped 3 places to be ranked World No 85 with 639 points after reaching the QFs at an ATP Challenger in China last week. Sumit Nagal, 22, India, has jumped 16 places to be ranked World No 174 with 284 points. Both Prajnesh and Nagal had lost in the first round at US Open but performed reasonably well at Challenger events soon after.  Ramkumar Ramnathan, 24, India, has jumped 1 place and is ranked World No 176 with 277 points.

Sasi Kumar Mukund, 22, India, has jumped 44 places and is ranked World No 241 with 196 points after reaching QFs at a Challenger event. But, Saketh Myneni, 31, India, has slipped 9 places and is ranked World No 258 with 178 points.

Zhizhen Zhang, 22, China, has jumped 170 places and is ranked World No 227 with 213 points after winning a challenger title on September 8, 2019, at Jinan, China.
