DIG ( Prisons) Shivendra Priyadarshi suspended

Patna : The Home (Prisons) department of Bihar government on May 19, 2017, suspended DIG ( Administration), Prisons and Corrective Services, Shivendra Priyadarshi, in the wake of a DA case lodged against him under Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, by Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) on May 4, 2017. The government will also initiate departmental proceedings against Priyadarshi, whose headquarters during suspension period will be Shaheed Khudi Ram Bose Central Jail, Muzaffarpur. The department issued a notification to this effect on May 19.
