Differntly abled girl raped at Ara, accused arrested

Ara : A named FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffassil police station against an MA student Ram Kumar Ram, son of Dularchand Ram, for allegedly outraging modesty of a differently abled girl. Later, police arrested the accused from Dhobi ghat locality under Nawada police station , Ara, on SJuly 28, 2018, and sent him to jail.

Police brought the girl to Ara Sadar hospital for medical examination and also produced her before the court to get her statement recorded under section 164 CrPC on SJuly 28 itself.

SHO, Ara Muffassil police station, said that Ram Kumar Ram is an MA student and lived at a hostel at Katira. On July 27, 2018, he entered the house of differently abled girl when she was all alone as all her family members had gone to field and outraged her modesty and escaped. When her parents returned in the evening, she narrated everything to them. Later, her father lodged a named FIR with police in this connection.
