Gopalganj: A differently abled person Zamil Alam sustained serious injuries after his nephew Guddu Mian along with his associates attacked him with a sword at village Mohanpur under Barauli police station in Gopalganj district. Land dispute is stated to be the reason behind the incident, police said.
Police said that Alam was engaged in some construction work at his house at Mohanpur when 10 persons including his nephew reached there and attacked him with a sword causing serious injuries to him. He was rushed to Primary Health Centre from where the doctors referred him to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.
Alam’s family members have lodged an FIR against 11 persons in this connection. They said that Alam had sought security from the local police as he apprehended attack on him. Barauli ps SHO Chandrika Prasad said that raids were on to arrest the accused.
