Patna : Development Commissioner and a 1982 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer, Shishir Sinha, has taken voluntary retirement from the government service for personal reasons. Sinha, in his application on April 28, 2018, sought permission from the government to seek voluntary retirement for personal reason. Development Commissioner is a chief secretary rank post.
The state government relaxed the condition of three months’ prior notice in such cases and allowed Sinha to retire from Indian Administrative Service from April 28, 2018, afternoon. The General Administration Department issued a notification to this effect on April 28, 2018. Sinha, who was holding the post of Development Commissioner since October 1, 2015, would have retired on July 31, 2018.
Bihar Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, an IAS officer of 1981 batch, will hold hold additional charge of Development Commissioner till a regular appointment is made to the post.
