The burning lamps gave a divine look to the temple and its sanctum sanctorum.  Over 1.5 lakh earthen lamps were placed in the temple creating a Deepawali like scene.

A group of priests including chief priest of Thawe Temple led by Dawloo Baba from Vindhyachal chanted the mantras and the devotees started lighting the lamps as `deep dan.’ The Temple Committee had made elaborate arrangements for the occasion.
