The burning lamps gave a divine look to the temple and its sanctum sanctorum.  Over 1.5 lakh earthen lamps were placed in the temple creating a Deepawali like scene.

A group of priests including chief priest of Thawe Temple led by Dawloo Baba from Vindhyachal chanted the mantras and the devotees started lighting the lamps as `deep dan.’ The Temple Committee had made elaborate arrangements for the occasion. The devotees offered burning earthen diyas to the Mother Goddess in the sanctum sanctorum and sought her blessings. The Thawe Temple was beautifully decorated with electroniclights giving it an attractive look. It may be mentioned here that the then Gopalganj DM Pankaj Kumar in 2012 at the behest of Dawloo Baba had started this tradition at Thawe Temple.
