DEO, Bhojpur, suspends 9 teachers for refusing to perform duty of BLOs

Ara : District Education Officer (DEO), Bhojpur, Kaushal Kishore, on March 15, 2019, suspended nine teachers with immediate effect for their failure to perform the duty of Block Level Officers (BLOs) despite several reminders and also recommended for departmental proceedings against them.

The teachers against whom FIRs were  lodged are:  Hasrat Hussain, Urdu Primary School, Chakia, Zunaid Alam, Urdu Middle School, Barbatara, Kiran Kumari, Primary School, Mishra Tola Ambedkarnagar, Arzoo Kumari, Parda Kanya Middle School, Ara, Naresh Prasad, Yashoda Arya Primary Middle School, Akbar, Primary School, Shivpur, Hasan Hussain, Primary School, Jawahar Tola, Usha Kumari, Middle School, New Police Line, Qayamuddin, Urdu Primary School, Sona Pakari.

The DEO said that the District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Sanjeev Kumar had ordered the aforesaid teachers to take the charge of BLOs at different places but they did not comply with the directive hampering the election work. The Block Development Officer (BDO) served show cause notices on them but they did not reply to it either. The BDO then messaged them on their mobile asking them to come to the office but they did not turn up at his office.
