Muzaffarpur: The number of Dengue cases has increased to 42 in Muzaffarpur district. Seven cases of Chikengunya have also been detected in the district. A Chikengunya patient had returned from Delhi just three days back. Muzaffarpur Civil Surgeon Dr Lalita Singh admitted that Dengue cases had been detected in the district but said that all the Chikengunya cases had come from outside Bihar including Delhi, Punjab and Haryana.

Head of Medicine department,  SKMCH,  Muzaffarpur, Dr Kamlesh Tiwary, Cardiologist Dr A K Das, Kala-azar expert Dr T K Jha,  Dr B P Singh and Dr Vijay Kumar, while expressing their concern over detection of several Dengue cases in the district stressed on creating awareness about it. Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh has again ordered for fogging in the affected areas.
