Delpo beat World No 56 Reilly Opelka, 21, USA, winner of ATP Ney York Open title recently, 6-4, 6-4 in the Round of 16 in 1 hr 13 minutes. Opelka, the tallest ATP ranked player at 6 ft 11 inches, though hammered 18 Aces to 5 by Delpo. Delpo broke Opelka’s service twice in the match. He also won 3 games in a row in the match.
World No 84 Mackenzie McDonald, 23, USA, also entered the QFs beating World No 101 Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, 35, Spain, 7-5, 6-4 in the Round of 16.
