DD beat CSH by 34 runs in Delhi IPL

Patna : Delhi Daredevils (DD) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 34 run in the 52nd match of IPL 2018 at Feroz Shah Kotla ground, Delhi, riding on superb bowling bowling by fast bowler Trent Boult, New Zealand, and spinner Amit Mishra. Chasing a target of 163 to win the match, CSK could score only 128/6 in 20 overs. CSK had won the toss but opted to bowl.

Batting first, DD 162/5 in 20 overs with wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant Iyer scoring 38 with 3 fours and 2 sixes. Vijay Shankar remained not on 36 hitting 2 fours and 2 sixes while Harshal Patel also remained not on 36 hitting 1 four and 4 sixes. Captain and opener Shreyas Iyer made 19 while his partner Prithvi Shaw made 17. For CSK, Lunisani Ngidi took 2/14 in 3 overs.

In reply, CSK openers Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu were involved in 46 run partnership. Watson made 14 while Rayudu made 50 hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes. Suresh Raina was out for 15 while captain M S Dhoni made 17. Allrounder Ravindra Radeja remained not out on 27 hitting two sixes. Dwayne Bravo was out for 1.

For DD, Trent Boult took 2/20 in 4 overs. Amit Mishra also took 2/20 in 4 overs while spinner Sandeep Lamichhane took 1/21 in 4 overs. Harshal Patel took 1/23 in 4 overs.

CSK have now 16 points from 13 matches while DD have 8 points from 13 matches.
