Patna : Delhi Capitals (DC) scored a competitive 147/9 in 20 19 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the send Qualifier at Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, on May 10, 2019, night, with Rishabh Pant scoring 38 in 25 balls hitting 2 fours and a six  and Colin Munro scoring 27 in 24 balls with 4 fours.

But for the 20th over in which DC batsmen Ishant Sharma and Trent Boult one six each, CSK bowlers had completely choked the scoring rate with incisive spells of fast and spin bowling. Harbhajan Singh, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Deepak Chahar took two wickets each  while Imran Tahir took one wicket. CSK had won the toss and opted to bowl.

Batting first, DC lost the wicket of opener Prithvi Shaw with only 21 runs on board. Shaw fell to  Deepak Chahar for 5 while his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan fell to spinner Harbhajan Singh for 18 making it 37/2. Colin Munro fell to spinner Ravindra Jadeja for 27 making it 57/3.

Captain Shreyas Iyer fell to spinner Imran Tahir for 13 and it was 75/4. Axar Patel fell to Bravo for 3 and it was 80/5. Sherfane Rutherford fell to Harbhajan for 10 making it 102/6. Keemo Paul also fell to Bravo for 3 and it was 119/7. Rishabh Pant fell to Chahar for 38 making it 125/8. Trent Boult fell to Jadeja for 6. Ishant Sharma hit a four and six on the last 2 balls of the 20th over while Boult had hit a six on the first ball of the over bowled by Jadeja. DC innings lacked a substantial partnershipp.

For CSK, Harbhajan Singh took 2/31 in 4 overs while Ravindra Jadeja took 2/23 in 3 overs. Imran Tahir took 1/28 in 4 overs. Fast bowler Deepak Chahar took 2/28 in 4 overs while Dwayne Bravo took 2/19 in 4 overs.
