Patna : Delhi Capital (DC) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 17 runs in Qualifier 2 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 8, 2020, late night, to enter the IPL Finals for the first time.
Replying to DC’s 189/3 in 20 overs, SRH could score only 172/8 in 20 overs with fast bowler Kagiso Rabada taking 4/29 in 4 overs including 3 wickets on successive balls in his last over while all-rounder Marcus Stoinis took 3/26 in 3 overs including 2 wickets in his first over. DC had won the toss and opted to bat.
Rabada has taken 29 wickets so far this IPL season followed by Jasprit Bumrah with 27 wickets. West Indies player Dwayne Bravo had taken 32 wickets in 2013 IPL season.
SRH bastman Kane Williamson scored 67 runs in 45 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes, one each of Rabada, Axar Patel, Stoinis, and Praveen Dubey, while Abdul Samad scored 33 runs in 16 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes. For DC, opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 78 runs in 50 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes.
