Patna : Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 wickets in the 11th match of IPL 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, as opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 92 in only 49 balls hitting 13 fours and 2 sixes while his opening partner Prithvi Shaw scored 32 runs in 17 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes. All rounder Marcus Stoinis remained unbeaten on 27 in 13 balls hitting 3 fours and 1 six while Lalit Yadav remained 12 not out in 6 balls with 2 fours. DC had won the toss and opted to bowl. Shikhar Dhawan was named Player Of The Match.
DC captain Rishabh Pant (wk) fell to fast bowler Jhye Richardson for 15 while Steven Smith fell to fast medium bowler Riley Metredith for 9. Chasing a target of 196 runs, DC scored 198/4 in 18.2 overs to register their 2nd win in 3 matches Dhawan and Shaw added 59 runs for the first wicket.
