Patna : Daniil Medvedev, 26, Russia, is the New World No 1 tennis player with 8,615 points replacing Novak Djokovic, 34, Serbia, in the ATP Rankings released on February 28, 2022. Medvedev is the 27th male tennis player to be ranked  World No1. Djokovic with 8,465 points is World No 2.The Serbian held the World No 1 position for a;ltogether 361 weeks. Alexander Zverev, 24, Germany, remains World No 3 with 7,515 points.

Rafael Nadal, 35, Spain, has jumped 1 ladder to be ranked World No 4 with 6,515 points after winning the Mexican Open singles title last week, his 91st career title. Stefanos Tsitsipas, 23, Greece, has slipped 1 place to be ranked World No 5 with 6,445 points. Andrey Rublev, 24, Russia, has moved up 1 ladder to be ranked World No 6 with 5,000 points after winning the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships title last week. Matteo Berettini, 25, Italy, has slipped 1 place and is ranked World No 7 with 4,928 points.

Jiri Vesely, 28, Czech Republic, has jumped 49 places and is ranked World No 74 with 825 points after reaching the final of Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships last week. Vesely had stunned top seed Novak Djokovic in quarter-final of the tournament.

Pedro Martinez, 24, Spain, has jumped 24 places to be ranked World No 50 with 1,072 points after winning the Chile Dove Men+ Care Open ( Santiago ) title last week. Sebastian Baez, 21, Argentina, has jumped 16 places to be ranked World No 62 with 965 points after reaching the final at Santiago last week.

Ramkumar Ramnathan, 27, India, has jumped 7 places to be ranked World No 170 with 351 points. Sumit Nagal, 24, India, has jumped 5 ladders to be ranked World No 205 with 283 points. Prajnesh Gunneswaran, 32, India, has slipped 14 places and is ranked World No 246 with 222 points. Mukund Sasikumar, 25, India, is World No 373 with 110 points.
