Dacoits loot Rs 22 lakh SBI in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur :  A daring armed dacoity was committed  in a branch of  State Bank of India located in Gobarsahi  locality in Muzaffarpur town on Wednesday in which the dacoits looted Rs 22 lakh from the chest of the bank, injured
a  woman bank official and decamped with the cash. It was the second bank dacoity during  a month in this town.

Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said the police were conducting raids to nab the criminals. According to  SBI officials  around 6 criminals entered  the bank  and closed all the doors. At that time Pushpa  Kumari ,a bank official, was on duty  and the criminals thrashed her inflicting serious injury to her ears . The criminals  snatched the keys of chest and looted the cash and escaped.  According to police sources,  the dacoits  took advantage of the Panchayat election held on the  as all police forces were on  election duty.
