Patna : Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by 4 wickets in IPL Qualifier 1 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on October 10, 2021, late night, as opener Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a brilliant 70 in 50 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes and Robin Uthappa scored a fantastic 63 in 44 balls hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes. Uthappa scored 20 runs including 2 fours and 2 sixes in 6th over bowled by fast bowler Avesh Khan. CSK had won the toss and opted to bowl.
Chasing a target of 173 runs, CSK scored 173/6 in 19.4 overs with captain M S Dhoni scoring an unbeaten 18 in 6 balls hitting 3 fours and 1 six off Avesh Khan.
