Siwan : Two bike borne criminals shot at and seriously injured Devendra Singh, who ran a Customer Service Centre (CSC) at Barka Manjha under Mairwa police station in Siwan district around 1 pm on June 2, 2017. Devendra Singh died on way to Siwan Sadar hospital.

Confirming the incident, Siwan SP Saurabh Sah, a 2009 batch IPS officer, said that Devendra Singh had drawn Rs 50,000 from Titra branch of Bank of India, and was on way to Barka Manjha on his bike when two bike borne criminals intercepted him and looted Rs 50,000 cash after firing on him

The criminals were apparently following Devendra Singh, the SP said adding that the statement taken from the bank says he had drawn Rs 50,000 on the day for use at the CSC. Replying to query, the SP police were yet to arrest any criminal in connection with the incident.
