Patna : Croatia beat England 2-1 in the semi-finals at Luzhniki Stadium, Russia, on July 11, 2018, late night to enter the final of FIFA World Cup. Croatia have reached the World Cup final for the first time in their fifth attempt. The semi-finals match lasted 125 minutes. Croatia will play France in the final. France had defeated Belgium 1-0 in the first semi-final on July 10, 2018.

Midfielder Ivan Perisic scored the first goal for Crotia in the 68th minute to bring the score 1-1. Striker Mario Mandzukic scored the 2nd goal for Croatia in the 109th minute. England were leading 1-0 at half-time. Midfielder Kieran Trippier scored the loan goal for England in the 5th minute.
