Criminals posing as cops loot Rs 40,000 from retired teacher

Bagaha: Jairam Patawari, a retired teacher of Kalabairia under Laukaria police station in West Champaran district, was robbed of Rs 40,000 cash near the State Bank of India, Bagaha station chowk branch, on Friday. Sources said that Patawari had drawn the amount from the bank. When he came outside the bank premises, some miscreants  befriended him and took him aside where another group appeared posing as policemen and started searching his bag  on the pretext searching for liquor  and took away the cash. A case has been lodged with the police station in this connection, said Pathakauli police station SHO K M Singh.
