Muzaffarpur : Six unidentified criminals looted Rs 6.82 lakh cash from Repura Market Branch of State Bank of India (SBI) under
Saraiya police station (PS) in Muzaffarpur District in North Bihar in broad daylight on July 8, 2021. The criminals resorted to indiscriminate firing outside the bank while fleeing to scare away the protesting mob.
SDPO, Saraiya, Ranjesh Kumar Sharma, said that 6 armed criminals riding three bikes and with their faces covered with mask reached SBI Branch at Repura under Saraiya PS and looted the amount from the cash counter after holding the staff and customers captive at gun point.
The dacoits stated to be in the age group of 20 to 30 years stuffed the cash in a bag and escaped waving their pistols. Some persons also made a video and of the fleeing robbers .
