Criminals loot Rs 52 lakh of Axis Bank from Bolero, looted rifle of security guard

Muzaffarpur : Unidentified armed criminals moving on a Scorpio looted Rs 52 lakh from a Bolero carrying the cash to Saraiya branch of Axis Bank at village Pukhraira under Jaitpur police outpost in Muzaffarpur district in broad daylight on November 22, 2018. The criminals shot at and injured bank’s security guard Vinod and also looted his rifle. The injured guard was rushed to a hospital. The incident took place at around 12 noon.

Confirming the incident, Muzaffarpur SSP Manoj Kumar, an IPS officer of 2018 batch, said that the criminals numbering around four overtook the Bolero near an under-construction toll plaza, shot at the guard, loaded the cash on the Scorpio and sped away. The SSP said that police would soon arrest the criminals involved in cash loot. The SSP said that the Bolero belonged to security agency CMS.
