Criminals loot Rs 22 lakh from Indian Bank branch in Sheikhpura

Sheikhpura : In a borad daylight bank dacoity, eight armed bike borne criminals looted Rs 22 lakh cash from Katra Chowk branch of Indian Bank under Sadar Police Station in Sheikhpuradistrict after injuring the Branch Manager around 10.45 am on October 12, 2017. After looting the cash, the criminals fled the place firing in the air.

The criminals hit the Branch Manager on the head with the butt of apistol when he put certain questions to them. The incident triggered sensation in SheikhpuraTown. Police reached the spot soon after the incident but were yet to get any clue regarding the identity of the criminals and their bike numbers. SDPO, Sheikhpura, while confirming the incident said that the criminals also took away the CCTV camera and its hard disc with them while escaping.
