Samastipur : Four unidentified criminals looted Rs 16 lakh cash from Harpur Ailoth branch of Bank Of India (BoI) in Samastipur District in North Bihar in broad daylight at gun point on August 8, 2021.
The criminals entered Bank Of india, Harpur Ailoth branch under Musarigharari police station (PS) in Samastipur District, posing as customers and looted Rs 16 lakh cash from the chest of the bank after making the bank employees captive.
Sanjay Kumar, SHO, Musarigharari PS, talking to this scribe said four motorcycle borne criminals entered the bank as customers but soon made the bank employees captive. The bank employees did not use their siren and the robbers looted the cash and escaped without any resistance. The SHO said our patrol party had visited this branch just 15 minutes before the cash loot. He said police were conducting raids to nab the criminals and CCTV footage footage were examined to identify the robbers.
