Motihari : Yet another incident of loot of jewellery within 24 hours in the district, three bike borne criminals looted gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 1.70 lakh at gun points from one Arvind Kumar, a jeweller, near Jamadarpul on Motihari- Areraj road in East Champaran District in North Bihar in broad daylight on February 2, 2022, and escaped towards Motihari, the district headquarters.
SHO, Turkaulia police station (PS), Mukesh Kumar, said a case has been lodged in this connection and raids are being conducted to nab the criminals.
Arvind Kumar said that he was returning home at village Shankarsaraiya from his jewellery shop located at Parsurampur Bazaar on his bike . As soon as he reached near Jamadarpul near his village, three bike borne persons intercepted him and looted his bag containing ornaments at gun point. The criminals also looted his motorcycle , two cellphones, and Rs 10,000 cash from him and escaped, Arvind said. He informed the villagers and lodged a case with Turkauliya PS in this connection.
