Saharsa : Four armed criminals riding two bikes and carrying Carbine and pistols looted Rs 1.88 lakh cash from a Maize trader Pappu Kedia near Sugma bridge under Sonbersa Raj police station in Saharsa district in broad daylight on July 1, 2017, and escaped unchallenged brandishing their firearms. Sugma bridge is located close to Sobersa Raj main market.

Pappu Kedia’s Maize shop is located near Sugma bridge. Kedia said that he was sitting at his shop when four criminals riding two bikes and carrying Carbine and pistols entered the shop and looted Rs 1.88 lakh cash in full public view and sped away towards Kalali road. SI Arun Sinha of Sonbersa Raj police station reached the spot and started investigation into the incident. SHO, Sonbersa Raj police station, Mohd Ijhar Alam, said that criminals involved in the loot had been identified and police were conducting raids to arrest them.
