Criminal wanted in several cases of kidnapping arrested

Patna A Patna Police team on February 9 arrested Pappu Sarkar, an active member of notorious Mines Gang and Bikers’ Gang operating in the city, from AG Colony under Shastrinagar police station. Patna Senior SP (SSP) Mannu Maharaaj said that Pappu was evading arrest in nine cases of heinous offences lodged with Shastrinagar and SK puri police stations. He said that several cases of kidnapping had been lodged against Sarkar, who used to leave the state after committing any crime.

The SSP, during crime review, had directed Shastrinagar ps SHO to immediately arrest Pappu Sarkar. The SHO in association with the personnel of Technical Cell started collecting information about the gangster. Police team came to know that Sarkar used to sneak reach Delhi, Bengal or any other state after committing a crime in Patna.

The cops came to know that Sarkar was on way to Patna from Delhi to commit some crime here in association with his associates. Sarkar reached Patna on February 9 by train and was at AG Colony. A police team reached AG Colony and arrested Pappu Sarkar, son of late Vidyanand Vishwash of Mirchai Bari under Katihar police station in Katihar district.
