Patna: The CPI workers on Wednesday staged dharna and demonstration near the collectorates and block offices in the state to protest soaring prices of essential commodities and allowing foreign direct investment in many sectors by the central government. They were raising slogans against the central government. Addressing party workers at Darbhanga and Madhubani, state CPI secretary Satya Narayan Singh held the central government responsible for the soaring prices. Singh said skyrocketing prices had exposed PM Narendra M0di’s promises made to the people. Singh alleged that the Modi government was soft towards MNCs.
