Patna : Covid-19 cases rose to 2,61,841 in Bihar on February 16, 2021, afternoon, as 56 more persons including 21 from Patna, 6 each from Vaishali and Begusarai, 3 each from Araria, Nalanda, and Saran,and 2 each from Madhubani and Rohtas, tested positive for the pandemic on February 15, 2021.
Of the 2,61,841 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, a total of 2,59,748 patients have been declared cured including 78 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 99.20%. The number of active in Bihar was 564 on February 16, 2021. Bihar has tested 2,20,55,937 samples so far including 37,256 samples on February 15, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll increased to 1,528 in Bihar on February 16, 2021, as one new death was recorded in Patna in last 24 hours. With it, the toll in Patna increased to 435 on February 16, 2021
