Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 86,812 in Bihar on August 11, 2020, afternoon, with 4,071 more persons including 552 from Patna, 225 from Begusarai, 208 from East Champaran, 195 from Bhagalpur, 172 from Gaya, 162 from Buxar, 164 from Katihar, 143 from Madhubani, 124 from Muzaffarpur, 123 from Araria, 121 from Rohtas, 119 from Purnia, 117 from Samastipur, 112 from West Champaran, 106 from Saran, 103 from Vaishali, testing positive to it on August 10, 2020.
According to State Health Department sources, 98 persons from Nalanda, 94 from Siwan, 91 from Saharsa, 84 from Arwal, 83 from Kishanganj, 83 from Munger, 78 from Bhojpur, 75 from Lakhisarai, 75 from Madhepura, 72 from Gopalganj, and 64 from Sitamarhi also tested positive to COVID-19 on August 10, 2020. Altogether 57,039 patients have been declared cured in Bihar till date the recovery rate being 65.7 %. A total of 2,900 patients were declared cured during last 24 hours in the state. The number of active cases in Bihar stands at 29,307.
COVID-19 death toll, on the other hand, has jumped to 465 with 15 new deaths being reported from different parts of the state during last 24 hours including three from Vaishali, two from Bhagalpur, two from Patna, two rom Samastipur, one each from Munger, Muzaffarpur, Rohtas, Bhojpur, and Saran.
The COVID death toll has increased to 90 in Patna, 39 in Bhagalpur, 29 in Gaya, 24 in Rohtas, 23 in Munger, 22 in Nalanda, 17 in Bhojpur, 17 in Vaishali, 16 in East Champaran, and 14 in Samastipur.
