Patna : COVID-19 cases increased to 1,99,549 in Bihar on October 14, 2020, afternoon, as 1,326 more persons including 301 from Patna, 81 from Araria, 81 from Katihar, 53 from Supaul, and 52 from Madhepura, tested positive to it on October 13, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 46 persons from East Champaran, 46 from Purnia, 42 from Nalanda, 41 from Munger, 39 from Jamui, 37 from Vaishali, 32 from Bhagalpur, 31 from Muzaffarpur, 30 from West Champaran, 27 from Banka, 26 from Gaya, 25 from Gopalganj, 25 from Kishanganj, 24 from Samastipur, 22 each from Begusarai, Jehanabad, Bhojpur, Siwan, and Sheikhpura, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 13, 2020.
Of the 1,99,549 COVID-19 cases reported so far Bihar, altogether 1,97,998 patients have been declared cured including 1,375 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 94.21%. The state has tested 86,69,522 samples till date including 96,685 samples on October 13, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 10,583 in bihar on October 14, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 967 in Bihar on October 14, 2020, with 6 new deaths including that of a retired journalist being reported in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Nalanda, and one each from Patna, Muzaffarpur, West Champaran, and Saharsa.
