Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 1,93,826 in Bihar on October 9, 2020, afternoon, as 1,155 more persons including 234 from Patna, 71 from Muzaffarpur, 70 from Katihar, 68 from East Champaran, and 52 from Purnia, tested positive to the disease on October 8, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 43 persons from Gaya, 37 from Bhagalpur, 36 from Madhepura, 35 from Lakhisarai, 34 from Nalanda, 30 from Araria, 29 from Vaishali, 28 from Kishanganj, 26 each from Gopalganj and Supaul, 25 from Saran, and 24 from Samastipur, also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 8, 2020.
Of the 1,93,826 COVID-19 cases reported till date in Bihar, altogether 1,81,781 patients have been declared cured including 1,424 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.79%. The state has tested 81,99,627 samples till date including 99,496 on October 8, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll jumped to 934 in Bihar on October 9, 2020, with 5 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including 2 from Patna, 2 from Bhagalpur, and 1 from Munger. The toll increased to 226 in Patna on October 9, 2020.
