Patna : TheĀ COVID-19 cases jumped to 1,90,123 in Bihar on October 6, 2020, as 1,265 more persons including 312 from Patna, 51 from Araria, 50 from Purnia, 45 from West Champaran, 44 from Muzaffarpur, 44 Rohtas, 43 from Madhepura, 38 from Gaya, and 35 from East Champaran, tested positive to it on October 5, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 35 persons from Saharsa, 32 from Madhubani, 31 each from Siwan and Jehanabad, 30 persons from Gopalganj, 30 from Nalanda, 27 each from Supaul and Vaishali, 25 from Banka, 23 from Begusarai, and 22 from Saran,also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 5, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 11,268 on October 6, 2020.
Of the 1,90,123 cases reported in Bihar till date, altogether 1,77,929 patients were declared cured till October 6, 2020, including 1,255 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.59%. The state has tested 78,93,739 samples so far including 1,04,131 samples on October 5, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 925 on with new death being reported from East Champaran in North Bihar during last 24 hours.
