Patna : COVID-19 cases rose to 1,87,951 in Bihar on October 4, 2020, afternoon, with 1,261 persons including 265 from Patna, 67 from Araria, 64 from Muzaffarpur, 59 from Rohtas, and 52 from east Champaran, testing positive to it on October 3, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 49 persons from Saran, 38 each from Banka, West Champaran, and Gopalganj, 35 from Purnia, 34 from Nalanda, 32 each from Madhubani and Jehanabad, 31 from Lakhisarai, 30 each from Bhagalpur and from Madhepura, 27 each from Munger and Sitamarhi, 26 from Kishanganj, 23 from Supaul, and 22 from Katihar also tested positive to COVID-19 on October 3, 2020.
Of the 1,87,951 COVID-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, altogether 1,75,109 patients have been declared cured including 1,314 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 93.17%. The state has tested 77,01,839 samples till date including 1,08,194 samples on October 3, 2020.
The COVID-19 till increased to 915 on October 4, 2020, with 3 new deaths being reported in the state during last 24 hours including one each from Patna, Nalanda, and Gopalganj. The toll increased to 215 in Patna on October 4, 2020.
