Patna : The COVID-19 cases rose to 1,77,355 in Bihar on September 26, 2020, as 1,457 persons including 255 from Patna, 83 from Purnia, 83 from Saharsa, 76 from Supaul, 64 from Muzaffarpur, 61 from Araria, 61 from Gopalganj, tested positive to it on September 25, 2020.
According to State Department figure, 55 persons from Gaya, 43 from Nalanda, 41 from Katihar, 36 from Banka, 34 from Begusarai, 33 from Vaishali, 31 from Bhagalpur, 31 from Rohtas, 29 from Madhepura, 27 from East Champaran, 25 each from Arwal and Madhubani, and 24 each from Jamui, Lakhisarai, and Jehanabad, also tested positive to COVID-19 on September 25, 2020. The number of active cases in Bihar was 13,506 on September 26, 2020.
Of the 1,77,355 cases reported till date in Bihar, altogether 1,63,132 patients have been declared cured including 1,622 during last 24 hours with the recovery rate being 91.98%. Bihar has tested 67,30,100 samples so far including 1,50,673 samples on September 25, 2020.
The COVID-19 toll increased to 886 in Bihar on September 26 with five new deaths being reported from different places in the state including three from Bhagalpur, and one each from Muzaffarpur and East Champaran. With it, the toll has increased to 61 in Bhagalpur, 32 in Muzaffarpur, and 36 in East Champaran. The toll stands at 203 in patna.
